Donald Trump vs Hillary Clinton

It is official. Donald Trump is the last man standing on the Republican side of the fence and Hillary Clinton is the pick for the Democratic party.

What will this mean to you and me?

A vote for Hillary will likely result in an uninterrupted continuation of the status quo. A minimum of four more years of stalled politics. Politicians in Washington continue NOT doing their jobs, vote for increased pay for themselves and essentially stall any and all legislation that does not benefit the supporters and lobbyists that helped get them elected. The possibility for a bigger better replay of Behghazi. More opportunities for classified emails to be sent over personal servers. A YES vote for the pro gun control lobby.

On the other hand, if Donald Trump is elected, we will have an unseasoned politician in charge of the whole country. A president who lacks foreign policy experience in charge of the most powerful military and economic power in the world. An individual who does not have established relationships with other politicians or lobbyists. A person with a "see opportunity - do it - apologize later" mentality.

Are these candidates pictures in the dictionary between "rock and a hard place"?

under current leadership the country is in bad shape. As of the current (07/14/2016, 15:00) moment:

  • the country is $19.34 Trillion in debt.
  • There is no end in sight to the endless entitlement programs like the ACA, Welfare and WIC.
  • the interest payments to service our national debt is $2.41 Trillion
  • the fed is printing money at a unsustainable rate - further reducing the value of the $USD
  • Politicians have a no-limit credit card and absolutely no control over spending.
  • Endless childish bickering between Democrats and Republican parties has brought the entire Federal Government to a standstill in terms of meaningful legislation.
I suppose our elected officials do not care that we are heading for a cliff at top speed. We are all passengers on this ride and will have to continue doing what we do and see what happens.

Perhaps a little bit of common sense planning, hard work and execution by each and every citizen is the solution.

what do you think?
