September 17, 1787

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Article I (Article 1 - Legislative)

Section 1

All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.

Section 2

1: The House of Representatives shall be composed of Members chosen every second Year by the People of the several States, and the Electors in each State shall have the Qualifications requisite for Electors of the most numerous Branch of the State Legislature.

2: No Person shall be a Representative who shall not have attained to the Age of twenty five Years, and been seven Years a Citizen of the United States, and who shall not, when elected, be an Inhabitant of that State in which he shall be chosen.

3: Representatives and direct Taxes shall be apportioned among the several States which may be included within this Union, according to their respective Numbers, which shall be determined by adding to the whole Number of free Persons, including those bound to Service for a Term of Years, and excluding Indians not taxed, three fifths of all other Persons.2  The actual Enumeration shall be made within three Years after the first Meeting of the Congress of the United States, and within every subsequent Term of ten Years, in such Manner as they shall by Law direct. The Number of Representatives shall not exceed one for every thirty Thousand, but each State shall have at Least one Representative; and until such enumeration shall be made, the State of New Hampshire shall be entitled to chuse three, Massachusetts eight, Rhode-Island and Providence Plantations one, Connecticut five, New-York six, New Jersey four, Pennsylvania eight, Delaware one, Maryland six, Virginia ten, North Carolina five, South Carolina five, and Georgia three.

4: When vacancies happen in the Representation from any State, the Executive Authority thereof shall issue Writs of Election to fill such Vacancies.

5: The House of Representatives shall chuse their Speaker and other Officers; and shall have the sole Power of Impeachment.

Section 3

1: The Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators from each State, chosen by the Legislature thereof,3 for six Years; and each Senator shall have one Vote.

2: Immediately after they shall be assembled in Consequence of the first Election, they shall be divided as equally as may be into three Classes. The Seats of the Senators of the first Class shall be vacated at the Expiration of the second Year, of the second Class at the Expiration of the fourth Year, and of the third Class at the Expiration of the sixth Year, so that one third may be chosen every second Year; and if Vacancies happen by Resignation, or otherwise, during the Recess of the Legislature of any State, the Executive thereof may make temporary Appointments until the next Meeting of the Legislature, which shall then fill such Vacancies.4

3: No Person shall be a Senator who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty Years, and been nine Years a Citizen of the United States, and who shall not, when elected, be an Inhabitant of that State for which he shall be chosen.

4: The Vice President of the United States shall be President of the Senate, but shall have no Vote, unless they be equally divided.

5: The Senate shall chuse their other Officers, and also a President pro tempore, in the Absence of the Vice President, or when he shall exercise the Office of President of the United States.

6: The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments. When sitting for that Purpose, they shall be on Oath or Affirmation. When the President of the United States is tried, the Chief Justice shall preside: And no Person shall be convicted without the Concurrence of two thirds of the Members present.

7: Judgment in Cases of impeachment shall not extend further than to removal from Office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any Office of honor, Trust or Profit under the United States: but the Party convicted shall nevertheless be liable and subject to Indictment, Trial, Judgment and Punishment, according to Law.

Section 4

1: The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of chusing Senators.

2: The Congress shall assemble at least once in every Year, and such Meeting shall be on the first Monday in December,5 unless they shall by Law appoint a different Day.

Section 5

1: Each House shall be the Judge of the Elections, Returns and Qualifications of its own Members, and a Majority of each shall constitute a Quorum to do Business; but a smaller Number may adjourn from day to day, and may be authorized to compel the Attendance of absent Members, in such Manner, and under such Penalties as each House may provide.

2: Each House may determine the Rules of its Proceedings, punish its Members for disorderly Behaviour, and, with the Concurrence of two thirds, expel a Member.

3: Each House shall keep a Journal of its Proceedings, and from time to time publish the same, excepting such Parts as may in their Judgment require Secrecy; and the Yeas and Nays of the Members of either House on any question shall, at the Desire of one fifth of those Present, be entered on the Journal.

4: Neither House, during the Session of Congress, shall, without the Consent of the other, adjourn for more than three days, nor to any other Place than that in which the two Houses shall be sitting.

Section 6

1: The Senators and Representatives shall receive a Compensation for their Services, to be ascertained by Law, and paid out of the Treasury of the United States.6 They shall in all Cases, except Treason, Felony and Breach of the Peace, be privileged from Arrest during their Attendance at the Session of their respective Houses, and in going to and returning from the same; and for any Speech or Debate in either House, they shall not be questioned in any other Place.

2: No Senator or Representative shall, during the Time for which he was elected, be appointed to any civil Office under the Authority of the United States, which shall have been created, or the Emoluments whereof shall have been encreased during such time; and no Person holding any Office under the United States, shall be a Member of either House during his Continuance in Office.

Section 7

1: All Bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills.

2: Every Bill which shall have passed the House of Representatives and the Senate, shall, before it become a Law, be presented to the President of the United States; If he approve he shall sign it, but if not he shall return it, with his Objections to that House in which it shall have originated, who shall enter the Objections at large on their Journal, and proceed to reconsider it. If after such Reconsideration two thirds of that House shall agree to pass the Bill, it shall be sent, together with the Objections, to the other House, by which it shall likewise be reconsidered, and if approved by two thirds of that House, it shall become a Law. But in all such Cases the Votes of both Houses shall be determined by yeas and Nays, and the Names of the Persons voting for and against the Bill shall be entered on the Journal of each House respectively. If any Bill shall not be returned by the President within ten Days (Sundays excepted) after it shall have been presented to him, the Same shall be a Law, in like Manner as if he had signed it, unless the Congress by their Adjournment prevent its Return, in which Case it shall not be a Law.

3: Every Order, Resolution, or Vote to which the Concurrence of the Senate and House of Representatives may be necessary (except on a question of Adjournment) shall be presented to the President of the United States; and before the Same shall take Effect, shall be approved by him, or being disapproved by him, shall be repassed by two thirds of the Senate and House of Representatives, according to the Rules and Limitations prescribed in the Case of a Bill.

Section 8

1: The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;

2: To borrow Money on the credit of the United States;

3: To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian Tribes;

4: To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization, and uniform Laws on the subject of Bankruptcies throughout the United States;

5: To coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, and fix the Standard of Weights and Measures;

6: To provide for the Punishment of counterfeiting the Securities and current Coin of the United States;

7: To establish Post Offices and post Roads;

8: To promote the Progress of Science and useful Arts, by securing for limited Times to Authors and Inventors the exclusive Right to their respective Writings and Discoveries;

9: To constitute Tribunals inferior to the supreme Court;

10: To define and punish Piracies and Felonies committed on the high Seas, and Offences against the Law of Nations;

11: To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water;

12: To raise and support Armies, but no Appropriation of Money to that Use shall be for a longer Term than two Years;

13: To provide and maintain a Navy;

14: To make Rules for the Government and Regulation of the land and naval Forces;

15: To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions;

16: To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining, the Militia, and for governing such Part of them as may be employed in the Service of the United States, reserving to the States respectively, the Appointment of the Officers, and the Authority of training the Militia according to the discipline prescribed by Congress;

17: To exercise exclusive Legislation in all Cases whatsoever, over such District (not exceeding ten Miles square) as may, by Cession of particular States, and the Acceptance of Congress, become the Seat of the Government of the United States, and to exercise like Authority over all Places purchased by the Consent of the Legislature of the State in which the Same shall be, for the Erection of Forts, Magazines, Arsenals, dock-Yards, and other needful Buildings;—And

18: To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers, and all other Powers vested by this Constitution in the Government of the United States, or in any Department or Officer thereof.

Section 9

1: The Migration or Importation of such Persons as any of the States now existing shall think proper to admit, shall not be prohibited by the Congress prior to the Year one thousand eight hundred and eight, but a Tax or duty may be imposed on such Importation, not exceeding ten dollars for each Person.

2: The Privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in Cases of Rebellion or Invasion the public Safety may require it.

3: No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto Law shall be passed.

4: No Capitation, or other direct, Tax shall be laid, unless in Proportion to the Census or Enumeration herein before directed to be taken.7

5: No Tax or Duty shall be laid on Articles exported from any State.

6: No Preference shall be given by any Regulation of Commerce or Revenue to the Ports of one State over those of another: nor shall Vessels bound to, or from, one State, be obliged to enter, clear, or pay Duties in another.

7: No Money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in Consequence of Appropriations made by Law; and a regular Statement and Account of the Receipts and Expenditures of all public Money shall be published from time to time.

8: No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.

 

Section 10

1: No State shall enter into any Treaty, Alliance, or Confederation; grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal; coin Money; emit Bills of Credit; make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts; pass any Bill of Attainder, ex post facto Law, or Law impairing the Obligation of Contracts, or grant any Title of Nobility.

2: No State shall, without the Consent of the Congress, lay any Imposts or Duties on Imports or Exports, except what may be absolutely necessary for executing it's inspection Laws: and the net Produce of all Duties and Imposts, laid by any State on Imports or Exports, shall be for the Use of the Treasury of the United States; and all such Laws shall be subject to the Revision and Controul of the Congress.

3: No State shall, without the Consent of Congress, lay any Duty of Tonnage, keep Troops, or Ships of War in time of Peace, enter into any Agreement or Compact with another State, or with a foreign Power, or engage in War, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay.

Article II (Article 2 - Executive)

Section 1

1: The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America. He shall hold his Office during the Term of four Years, and, together with the Vice President, chosen for the same Term, be elected, as follows

2: Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors, equal to the whole Number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress: but no Senator or Representative, or Person holding an Office of Trust or Profit under the United States, shall be appointed an Elector.

3: The Electors shall meet in their respective States, and vote by Ballot for two Persons, of whom one at least shall not be an Inhabitant of the same State with themselves. And they shall make a List of all the Persons voted for, and of the Number of Votes for each; which List they shall sign and certify, and transmit sealed to the Seat of the Government of the United States, directed to the President of the Senate. The President of the Senate shall, in the Presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the Certificates, and the Votes shall then be counted. The Person having the greatest Number of Votes shall be the President, if such Number be a Majority of the whole Number of Electors appointed; and if there be more than one who have such Majority, and have an equal Number of Votes, then the House of Representatives shall immediately chuse by Ballot one of them for President; and if no Person have a Majority, then from the five highest on the List the said House shall in like Manner chuse the President. But in chusing the President, the Votes shall be taken by States, the Representation from each State having one Vote; A quorum for this Purpose shall consist of a Member or Members from two thirds of the States, and a Majority of all the States shall be necessary to a Choice. In every Case, after the Choice of the President, the Person having the greatest Number of Votes of the Electors shall be the Vice President. But if there should remain two or more who have equal Votes, the Senate shall chuse from them by Ballot the Vice President.8

4: The Congress may determine the Time of chusing the Electors, and the Day on which they shall give their Votes; which Day shall be the same throughout the United States.

5: No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

 

6: In Case of the Removal of the President from Office, or of his Death, Resignation, or Inability to discharge the Powers and Duties of the said Office,9 the Same shall devolve on the VicePresident, and the Congress may by Law provide for the Case of Removal, Death, Resignation or Inability, both of the President and Vice President, declaring what Officer shall then act as President, and such Officer shall act accordingly, until the Disability be removed, or a President shall be elected.

7: The President shall, at stated Times, receive for his Services, a Compensation, which shall neither be encreased nor diminished during the Period for which he shall have been elected, and he shall not receive within that Period any other Emolument from the United States, or any of them.

8: Before he enter on the Execution of his Office, he shall take the following Oath or Affirmation:—“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

Section 2

1: The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States; he may require the Opinion, in writing, of the principal Officer in each of the executive Departments, upon any Subject relating to the Duties of their respective Offices, and he shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.

2: He shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur; and he shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by Law: but the Congress may by Law vest the Appointment of such inferior Officers, as they think proper, in the President alone, in the Courts of Law, or in the Heads of Departments.

3: The President shall have Power to fill up all Vacancies that may happen during the Recess of the Senate, by granting Commissions which shall expire at the End of their next Session.

Section 3

He shall from time to time give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union, and recommend to their Consideration such Measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient; he may, on extraordinary Occasions, convene both Houses, or either of them, and in Case of Disagreement between them, with Respect to the Time of Adjournment, he may adjourn them to such Time as he shall think proper; he shall receive Ambassadors and other public Ministers; he shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed, and shall Commission all the Officers of the United States.

Section 4

The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.

Article III (Article 3 - Judicial)

Section 1

The judicial Power of the United States, shall be vested in one supreme Court, and in such inferior Courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish. The Judges, both of the supreme and inferior Courts, shall hold their Offices during good Behaviour, and shall, at stated Times, receive for their Services, a Compensation, which shall not be diminished during their Continuance in Office.

Section 2

1: The judicial Power shall extend to all Cases, in Law and Equity, arising under this Constitution, the Laws of the United States, and Treaties made, or which shall be made, under their Authority;—to all Cases affecting Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls;—to all Cases of admiralty and maritime Jurisdiction;—to Controversies to which the United States shall be a Party;—to Controversies between two or more States;—between a State and Citizens of another State;10 —between Citizens of different States, —between Citizens of the same State claiming Lands under Grants of different States, and between a State, or the Citizens thereof, and foreign States, Citizens or Subjects.

2: In all Cases affecting Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, and those in which a State shall be Party, the supreme Court shall have original Jurisdiction. In all the other Cases before mentioned, the supreme Court shall have appellateJurisdiction, both as to Law and Fact, with such Exceptions, and under such Regulations as the Congress shall make.

3: The Trial of all Crimes, except in Cases of Impeachment, shall be by Jury; and such Trial shall be held in the State where the said Crimes shall have been committed; but when not committed within any State, the Trial shall be at such Place or Places as the Congress may by Law have directed.

Section 3

1: Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.

2: The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted.

Article IV (Article 4 - States' Relations)

Section 1

Full Faith and Credit shall be given in each State to the public Acts, Records, and judicial Proceedings of every other State. And the Congress may by general Laws prescribe the Manner in which such Acts, Records and Proceedings shall be proved, and the Effect thereof.

Section 2

1: The Citizens of each State shall be entitled to all Privileges and Immunities of Citizens in the several States.

2: A Person charged in any State with Treason, Felony, or other Crime, who shall flee from Justice, and be found in another State, shall on Demand of the executive Authority of the State from which he fled, be delivered up, to be removed to the State having Jurisdiction of the Crime.

3: No Person held to Service or Labour in one State, under the Laws thereof, escaping into another, shall, in Consequence of any Law or Regulation therein, be discharged from such Service or Labour, but shall be delivered up on Claim of the Party to whom such Service or Labour may be due.11

 

Section 3

1: New States may be admitted by the Congress into this Union; but no new State shall be formed or erected within the Jurisdiction of any other State; nor any State be formed by the Junction of two or more States, or Parts of States, without the Consent of the Legislatures of the States concerned as well as of the Congress.

2: The Congress shall have Power to dispose of and make all needful Rules and Regulations respecting the Territory or other Property belonging to the United States; and nothing in this Constitution shall be so construed as to Prejudice any Claims of the United States, or of any particular State.

Section 4

The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.

Article V (Article 5 - Mode of Amendment)

The Congress, whenever two thirds of both Houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to this Constitution, or, on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments, which, in either Case, shall be valid to all Intents and Purposes, as Part of this Constitution, when ratified by the Legislatures of three fourths of the several States, or by Conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other Mode of Ratification may be proposed by the Congress; Provided that no Amendment which may be made prior to the Year One thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any Manner affect the first and fourth Clauses in the Ninth Section of the first Article; and that no State, without its Consent, shall be deprived of its equal Suffrage in the Senate.

Article VI (Article 6 - Prior Debts, National Supremacy, Oaths of Office)

1: All Debts contracted and Engagements entered into, before the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be as valid against the United States under this Constitution, as under the Confederation.

2: This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.

3: The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.

Article VII (Article 7 - Ratification)

The Ratification of the Conventions of nine States, shall be sufficient for the Establishment of this Constitution between the States so ratifying the Same.

The Conventions of a number of the States having, at the time of adopting the Constitution, expressed a desire, in order to prevent misconstruction or abuse of its powers, that further declaratory and restrictive clauses should be added, and as extending the ground of public confidence in the Government will best insure the beneficent ends of its institution;  Resolved, by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America, in Congress assembled, twothirds of both Houses concurring, that the following articles be proposed to the Legislatures of the several States, as amendments to the Constitution of the United States; all or any of which articles, when ratified by threefourths of the said Legislatures, to be valid to all intents and purposes as part of the said Constitution, namely:

Amendment I Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

Amendment II: A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

Amendment III: No soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law. 

Amendment IV: The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Amendment V: No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a grand jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the militia, when in actual service in time of war or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation. 

Amendment VI: In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the state and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the assistance of counsel for his defense

Amendment VII: In suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise reexamined in any court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law.

Amendment VIII: Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.

Gun Gontrol by Executive Action



Well, here we are less than 90 days into the Biden presidency and the use of executive action as a policy tool is in full swing. As of today's date, 50 executive actions have been signed. 22 of which are reversals of Trump's policies which protected the sovernty of the country and it's citizens.

The one big subject that has been mysteriously absent has been gun control. Well, your leftist wish for more Government and less freedom is about to be granted...here are 6 new actions about to be placed on the shoulders of Americans via executive action:

(1) The Justice Department, within 30 days, will issue a proposed rule to help stop the proliferation of “ghost guns.” We are experiencing a growing problem: criminals are buying kits containing nearly all of the components and directions for finishing a firearm within as little as 30 minutes and using these firearms to commit crimes. When these firearms turn up at crime scenes, they often cannot be traced by law enforcement due to the lack of a serial number. The Justice Department will issue a proposed rule to help stop the proliferation of these firearms.

(2) The Justice Department, within 60 days, will issue a proposed rule to make clear when a device marketed as a stabilizing brace effectively turns a pistol into a short-barreled rifle subject to the requirements of the National Firearms Act. The alleged shooter in the Boulder tragedy last month appears to have used a pistol with an arm brace, which can make a firearm more stable and accurate while still being concealable.

(3) The Justice Department, within 60 days, will publish model “red flag” legislation for states. Red flag laws allow family members or law enforcement to petition for a court order temporarily barring people in crisis from accessing firearms if they present a danger to themselves or others. The President urges Congress to pass an appropriate national “red flag” law, as well as legislation incentivizing states to pass “red flag” laws of their own. In the interim, the Justice Department’s published model legislation will make it easier for states that want to adopt red flag laws to do so.

(4) The Administration is investing in evidence-based community violence interventions. Community violence interventions are proven strategies for reducing gun violence in urban communities through tools other than incarceration. Because cities across the country are experiencing a historic spike in homicides, the Biden-Harris Administration is taking a number of steps to prioritize investment in community violence interventions.

> The American Jobs Plan proposes a $5 billion investment over eight years to support community violence intervention programs. A key part of community violence intervention strategies is to help connect individuals to job training and job opportunities.
> The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is organizing a webinar and toolkit to educate states on how they can use Medicaid to reimburse certain community violence intervention programs, like Hospital-Based Violence Interventions.
> Five federal agencies are making changes to 26 different programs to direct vital support to community violence intervention programs as quickly as possible. These changes mean we can start increasing investments in community violence interventions as we wait on Congress to appropriate additional funds. Read more about these agency actions here.

(5) The Justice Department will issue an annual report on firearms trafficking. In 2000, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) issued a report summarizing information regarding its investigations into firearms trafficking, which is one way firearms are diverted into the illegal market where they can easily end up in the hands of dangerous individuals. Since the report’s publication, states, local, and federal policymakers have relied on its data to better thwart the common channels of firearms trafficking. But there is good reason to believe that firearms trafficking channels have changed since 2000, for example due to the emergence of online sales and proliferation of “ghost guns.” The Justice Department will issue a new, comprehensive report on firearms trafficking and annual updates necessary to give policymakers the information they need to help address firearms trafficking today.

(6) The President will nominate David Chipman to serve as Director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms. ATF is the key agency enforcing our gun laws, and it needs a confirmed director in order to do the job to the best of its ability. But ATF has not had a confirmed director since 2015. Chipman served at ATF for 25 years and now works to advance commonsense gun safety laws.

this is another example of what happens when "Democratic Socialists" run things. They create policies that go against the letter of the Constution of these United States and the Bill of Rights and could care less how it affects citizens... all while welcoming hundreds of thousands of ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS at out Southern Border.

2020 Presidential Election - the results are... in?

I could not have been more wrong about Trump. 
In my 07/16/2016 post: Donald Trump vs. Hillary Clinton
I lamented the possibility of either candidate reaching office in 2017... I'll admit my mistake. 

Turns out that Donald Trump was just what this country needed. A veritable bull in the china shop. A tireless man without the political baggage in the White House doing for Americans and our allies what no other politician has ever had the will to do. Putting American's interests first and rooting out the layers of bullshit that have stalled American politics for decades. 

In just four years Trump:
  • placed the Chinese government in check with tariffs meant to equalize the trade imbalance and give American businesses a reason to proudly hoist the "Made in America" banner.
  • has secured an agreement to normalize relations between Israel and a major Arab countries in decades.
  • met with the leader of North Korea to bring the country to the table as a friend rather than a foe.
  • decreased taxes for middle class Americans
  • pulled back the invasive tentacles of the Affordable Care Act
  • made measureable progress in slowing the flow of people and drugs illegally entering the country along our southern border.
  • made it through a non-stop barrage starting with accusations voter fraud (in 2016 election), Russia Collusion, Impeachment and now the actual voter fraud in the 11/2020 presidential election.
Donald Trump has gone against the traditional way of doing things since day one. He has not succumbed to the traditional corruption and "get paid to play" methods that have plagued our politicians for decades. He has upset so many politicians and media personalities that a new term was invented to describe his affect on those that he has called out: "Trump Derangement Syndrome" 

Now, in the final days of his first term, he faces the most brazen of crimes ever committed by civilian leaders: a stolen presidential election. Evidence of election irregularities have been out in the open for all who cared to look to see:
  • votes cast by deceased persons
  • votes cast by ineligible persons: (non-citizens and felony convicts to name a few)
  • Voting systems by Dominion used which are known to be "remotely adjustable" to reach a desired winner.
  • more votes cast and counted than eligible voters in multiple counties in multiple states
  • video evidence showing fraudulent ballots being included for counting after observers were sent home
  • paused counts and ballot dumps which changed multiple county and state results in  key swing states in early morning hours after election observers were sent home
  • affidavits signed by counters and observers detailing many more occurrences of vote tampering, forging, acceptance and certification of illegal votes.
  • changes to election rules made by persons who did not have authority to change the rules (only state legislators can do that)
  • hundreds of millions of mail in ballots illegally placed in circulation contrary to state election laws.
  • illegal suspension of voter identification and verification requirements by election officials.
Any Participant in these acts of election fraud in the recent election is guilty of treason. Full stop.
(Definition of treason: the offense of attempting to overthrow the government of one's country.)

I take my hat off to Donald Trump. He has been the only American willing to fight for the American way. Even most of his supporters have given up hope... Hell I was one of them. 

To have the strength to move forward, I found it necessary to look to my past... I am thankful for the chance to live in these United States, and remember the pledge I used to repeat every day in school:


"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

lastly: a message to Donald Trump: Thank you for fighting for Americans. Thank you for being a patriot. thank you for your selfless efforts to Make America Great Again. (Honestly I don't think America was ever not great!)

Ever wonder why the USA is a Constitutional Republic...

In a pure democracy, the majority rules. If the majority decides they want your home, they will take it from you. If the majority wants to imprison you, you go to prison. If the majority want you destroyed, you are destroyed.

In a republic, your property is your property and by law cannot be taken against your will. You are afforded inalienable rights; which by law cannot be taken from the you.

The United States of America is a CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC.

The Constitution is the law that protects us from the will of the majority; the individual is protected from the majority by Constitutional Law.

In a republic, supreme power is held by the people and the officials they elect must wield that power as the Laws allow. A Republic has an elected or nominated president rather than a monarch.

A Constitutional Republic is what we inherited from those who came before us... It is up to us to keep it safe and pass it on to our children.

If you wonder why some elected officials are calling for the rescission of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, wonder no more... they want to remove the laws that protect YOU from THEM; so they can do to you as they please. 

The never ending COVID lockdowns and orders to wear a mask are the test run for a rapid rescission of YOUR INALIENABLE RIGHTS. Most Americans have followed the rules without question and have, by action, surrendered their inalienable rights to the ruling class. Don't act like sheep... they usually get fleeced and slaughtered.

Have you ever wondered why the word "democracy" sounds a lot like the word "Democrat"?... The Democrats have been the driving force for nearly every violation of rights this country has seen since the country was founded on July 4, 1776. From slavery to the KKK to abortion "rights" if individuals are loosing rights afforded by the Constitution or the Bill of Rights Democrats are usually behind the action.

Amy Coney Barrett appointed to the Supreme Court of the United States.

 

perhaps the most important words for Americans spoken during the Trump administration:

"I, Amy Coney Barrett, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God."

...with Amy Coney Barrett in place, I trust SCOTUS will review and overturn any and all of the legislation that is unconstitutional... and there is no shortage of unconstitutional legislation in place right now. 

... as long as the Supreme Court in not packed or stacked with liberal justices.

The Biden Crime family was paid $16.6 million USD by Burisma to terminate an international money laundering investigation.

The Latvian FIU (Financial Intelligence Unit) identified a series of payments totaling about $16.6 million that were routed from companies in Belize, Cypress and the United Kingdom to Burisma through Ukraine’s Privat Bank between 2012 and 2015. The flagged funds were partially transferred to Hunter Biden, a board member at Burisma since May 2014, and three other officials working for the Ukrainian natural gas company.

The Latvian FIU alerted their counterparts in the Ukraine on February 18, 2016 of the ongoing money laundering investigation and it specifically questioned whether Vice President Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden and three other officials at Burisma Holdings were the beneficiaries of the suspect funds. The Ukrainian Prosecutor General; Viktor Shokin opened an investigation into the payments made by Burisma which made their way to Rosemont Seneca, a company owned by Hunter Biden.

On March 29, 2016 Viktor Shokin, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, was fired at the request of Joe Biden. Former Vice President Biden threatened to withhold $1 billion in US loan guarantees to the Ukraine unless Viktor Shoking was fired. The FBI seized Hunter Biden's abandoned laptop in December 2019 during the course of case id: 272D-BA-30665729. The evidence on Hunter's laptop provides a direct link between Zlochevsky's companies Brociti Investments Limited and Burisma Holdings, Joe Biden, Jim Biden and Hunter Biden as recipients of the funds laundered by Privat Bank of Latvia.

It is unclear why the FBI chose to conceal the evidence obtained in this investigation during President Trump's Impeachment proceedings which coincidentally started on December 18, 2019 (within days of Hunter's abandoned laptop being taken into evidence) and ended with a full acquittal on February 5, 2020.

It is also unclear why national news and media outlets have chosen to suppress and conceal the evidence of the Biden family's bribery and political access schemes which has been available since February of 2016.

This whole thing smells like an act of treason committed by a sitting Vice President and family members, a cover-up by the FBI and media in the hopes that Americans would be so distracted by Trump's impeachment circus that they would not notice the real crime... but that is just my opinion; what do you think?

Be Prepared for what is coming & The Bill Of Rights;

 


It is time for citizens to be heard. Be prepared to overcome obstacles which will be placed in your way designed to make it difficult to support and vote for the conservative candidates in the Nov 2020 elections. Be prepared to defend God, your country, your family, your business, your property and your neighbors who cannot fight. Be prepared to repel attackers; who rather than address you directly by having an open minded conversation about the actual topic will choose to show their cowardice by applying pressure on social media, through the workplace, through the mainstream media and of course in your social circles. You will be accused of having white privilege, being a racist, sexist, xenophobe, violating immigrant rights, being intolerant of non binary gender fluid persons and much more.

None of these things are true. Americans must understand the importance of this time and be ready to undertake the tasks needed to defend the American way of life against the coming gauntlet sure to accompany any movement toward socialism.

We must fight to keep our rights as citizens while we can. Every time we allow a little part of our rights be taken away, we lose a piece of ourselves and give a part of our strength away. Be strong. think and act in the best interests of your God, Country and Family. Be mentally prepared for the fight which will be upon us. Black Lives Matter, Domestic Terrorism and Incompetent Leadership

 

BLM is a terrorist organization funded and run by Democratic & Progressive leaders throughout the country. 

...how else could you describe an organization that encourages and supports the actions of criminals, killers, looters and arsonists disguised as "mostly peaceful protesters" and simultaneously calls for leaders to "defund the Police" and is funded by "ActBlue" which is a organization that proclaims on it's own website it supports "left-leaning... Democrats, and progressive groups"

This Leftist / Socialist / Marxist Terrorist organization is responsible for hundreds of millions of dollars of property damage to businesses, residences and government buildings. An overwhelming increase in crime including murder, vandalism, malicious mischief, looting, arson and assault.

This organization simultaneously calls for "Defunding the Police"... Of course, why wouldn't you want to disband the only group of civil servants whose sole purpose is to protect and serve the civilian population and arrest and detain criminals... Especially since your primary business operation is encouraging your members and the general public to commit crimes including murder, vandalism, malicious mischief, looting, arson and assault.

Any civilian or sworn leader (Governors, Mayors, Congressman and Senators) who at any time supported BLM or given orders to police to stand down are guilty of conspiracy to commit the same crimes against law abiding citizens, property and business owners as the activists. They have violated the oaths they swore to uphold as they entered office and violated the rights of the governed. 

We must flush these incompetent and corrupt civilian leaders out of office in the upcoming election and call for them to be punished as the criminal conspirators they have proven to be.

You had enough of BLM / Black Lives Matter? - VOTE 2020

Black Lives Matter. They sure do.

I would argue that ALL LIVES MATTER.... property owners lives, business owner's lives, tax payer lives, student's lives and American lives.

Allowing these lives to be destroyed by the "mostly peaceful" demonstrations that have been allowed by our liberal progressive leaders to "intensify" into riots and looting all across our country is completely unacceptable.

Allowing these lives and businesses to be destroyed by tyrannical lockdowns for the healthy instead of quarantines for the sick and vulnerable is unacceptable.

The disintegration of basic morals, the lack of leadership, the constant pandering to subversive  terrorist organizations combined with the complete disregard for the lives, property and businesses of decent hard working Americans is the death note for these spineless mayors and governors.

I trust that the silent majority of voters have had enough of these liberal, woke, racist, pandering assholes and will choose to use the power given to them by the founding fathers to expel these incompetent leaders from the positions of power in the upcoming elections.

Liberals, Progressives and Personal Accountability (or lack thereof)


The words: "personal accountability" are not used much these days. Today's liberal society wants to shift the responsibility for just about everything away from the individual and assign it to something or someone else. Hard work, a strong moral compass, common sense and freedom are no longer considered good things.

Many people are being lured into Liberal thinking... a free wheeling, no rules lifestyle which is open to new behavior or opinions and willing to discard traditional values. Discarding traditional values is the problem. Traditional values have been the compass that has led the people of this great republic we live in through the great depression, two world wars and countless difficulties.

Today, politicians are preaching liberal ideas as the new normal. Let's take a look at the definition of the word...

liberal: "open to new behavior or opinions and willing to discard traditional values."

the "open to new opinions" part is not the problem, the "willing to discard traditional values" is the problem. In years past Americans were a hearty bunch. Willing to take on challenges and do what was right. This is why we went to the moon and fought for those who needed our help in Europe during WWI and WWII.

In today's liberal environment, everyone is being told they are victims of something or owed something or offended by something. The liberal mentality is infections and makes its' followers weak by believing they are unable to do anything by or for themselves. It also grants "permission" to disregard the rule of law and do whatever makes you feel good.

a few examples of liberal and progressive agendas:
  • open borders: the uncontrolled coming and going of any and all people into our sovereign land
  • entitlement benefits for all (including those who enter the country illegally) based on the belief that one is inherently deserving of privileges or special treatment.
  • pandering: to groups especially gay, transgendered, pedophiles, minorities, women and immigrants to gratify or indulge (an immoral or distasteful desire, need, or habit or a person with such a desire, etc.) in the hopes of gaining the votes.
  • abortion: the deliberate termination of a human life
  • gun control: the objective is the recission of the 2nd amendment.
These agendas are aimed at making Americans weak and increasing the power of the government. The underlying message is that you are incapable of making the right decisions; so we will make them for you. The bottom line is: the liberal agenda is not democratic. it is socialist. it is marxist. the end objective is the removal of the power of the people and redistribution of wealth (into the pockets of those in power) and total control of the population.

I'm offended by....


I see articles and stories about people who are offended by innocuous occurrences every day. Here are a few examples:

in an effort to get into the correct frame of mind, I looked up the definition of a few words:

offended (adjective, past tense) resentful or annoyed, typically as a result of a perceived insult.

insulted (verb) past tense; speak to or treat with disrespect or scornful abuse.

The key word here is PERCEIVED. Those who perceive something as insulting are using social and traditional media platforms to bring attention to their causes. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, network TV and radio and also print media outlets are using these "causes" to bring viewership and acceptance into the fabric of the mainstream. The consumers of this separatist content relish in the dissemination of the adopted cause.

The social and traditional media outlets love this because it puts their platform in front of more consumers. They get paid when the number of views increases.

The hard reality is this: these causes announced over social and traditional media outlets are not pertinent to the social discourse; they serve only to create further separation and infighting. They highlight the increasing level of ignorance and lack of accountability among the very people who show up at rallies and shout the slogans.

If you really want to change something for the better, stop blaming others for the situation and look inside yourself to create, present and work toward a positive solution. Do something outside your comfort zone and make your positive action the example for others to follow. This is how leadership works... anything else is just a mob mentality and leads to bickering.

Stop encouraging the negative behavior by social media-ing about your cause because this only further defines and expands our differences. Get out, meet some people, do something other than Insta-Twit-Face-Tubing your opinion. Get your whole brain and body into the cause... not just your thumbs. If you are only willing to share your thoughts and be a member of the mob but not willing to take control and lead by example, then please don't bother sharing... it is clogging up my inbox.

The Second Amendment

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

I will not waste your time with an interpretation of the 2nd amendment because it was and is so carefully worded that it can only have one meaning.



Let me give you an example from nature: Cheetahs chase a gazelle with the intention of killing and eating it. The gazelle can run or choose to defend itself by turning and fighting the lion with its' horns and hooves. The gazelle has a right to defend itself. No sane person would argue this point. However, supporters of Gun Control seek to increase the safety of the gazelle by cutting off its' horns and hooves. This makes no sense.


focusing on our differences will always divide us. Focusing on our country's common objectives and using our cultural diversity to come together and push progress is this country's only way out of the current political stagnation and cultural divisions.

Bottom line: gun control is what ignorant, uneducated people lacking common sense talk about in order to avoid having tough conversations about lack of personal and social accountability, non-acceptance of differing political, social, economic, racial, religious and sexual orientation viewpoints. (to name a few)

Any action seeking to restrict or limit the Constitutionally afforded rights and protections so clearly spelled out in the Bill of Rights is nothing less than an attack on the Constitution of this country. The Bill of Rights was adopted into our country's constitution as a protection for the people of this country against tyrannical government actions.

You getting tired of BLM / Black Lives Matter? - Vote 2020

Black Lives Matter. They sure do.

I would argue that ALL LIVES MATTER.... property owners lives, business owner's lives, tax payer lives, student's lives and all American lives.

Allowing these lives to be destroyed by the "mostly peaceful" demonstrations that have been allowed by our democratic leaders to "intensify" into riots and looting all across our country is completely unacceptable.

Allowing these lives and businesses to be destroyed by tyrannical lockdowns for the healthy instead of quarantines for the sick and vulnerable is unacceptable.

The disintegration of basic morals, the lack of leadership, the constant pandering to terrorist organizations and complete disregard for the lives, property and businesses of decent hard working Americans is the death note for these spineless mayors and governors. I trust that the silent majority of voters have had enough of these liberal, woke, pandering assholes and will choose to use the power given to them by the founding fathers to expel these incompetent leaders from the positions of power.


Donald Trump vs Hillary Clinton

It is official. Donald Trump is the last man standing on the Republican side of the fence and Hillary Clinton is the pick for the Democratic party.

What will this mean to you and me?

A vote for Hillary will likely result in an uninterrupted continuation of the status quo. A minimum of four more years of stalled politics. Politicians in Washington continue NOT doing their jobs, vote for increased pay for themselves and essentially stall any and all legislation that does not benefit the supporters and lobbyists that helped get them elected. The possibility for a bigger better replay of Behghazi. More opportunities for classified emails to be sent over personal servers. A YES vote for the pro gun control lobby.

On the other hand, if Donald Trump is elected, we will have an unseasoned politician in charge of the whole country. A president who lacks foreign policy experience in charge of the most powerful military and economic power in the world. An individual who does not have established relationships with other politicians or lobbyists. A person with a "see opportunity - do it - apologize later" mentality.

Are these candidates pictures in the dictionary between "rock and a hard place"?

under current leadership the country is in bad shape. As of the current (07/14/2016, 15:00) moment:


  • the country is $19.34 Trillion in debt. 
  • There is no end in sight to the endless entitlement programs like the ACA, Welfare and WIC. 
  • the interest payments to service our national debt is $2.41 Trillion 
  • the fed is printing money at a unsustainable rate - further reducing the value of the $USD 
  • Politicians have a no-limit credit card and absolutely no control over spending.
  • Endless childish bickering between Democrats and Republican parties has brought the entire Federal Government to a standstill in terms of meaningful legislation.
I suppose our elected officials do not care that we are heading for a cliff at top speed. We are all passengers on this ride and will have to continue doing what we do and see what happens.

Perhaps a little bit of common sense planning, hard work and execution by each and every citizen is the solution.

Big Oil makes a mess and we get to clean it up; part II


dateline: May 19, 2015, An oil spill in Santa Barbara, CA caused by a ruptured transfer line owned and operated by Plains All Ameican Pipeline occured. Plains All Ameican Pipeline originally stated that 500 barrels (21,000 gallons) had leaked out of the broken pipe but later revised it's estimate to 2500 barrels. (105,000 gallons) 

Big numbers. Bigger cleanup, Even bigger aftermath:
animals in the ocean dead: millions?
animals along the shoreline dead: thousands? tens of thousands?
cost to local economy due to loss of tourism: millions? tens of millions? hundreds of millions? - losses would include lost revenues to restaurants and hotels in the area (Memorial Day weekend is now a lost cause for the local tourism industry in the area.)
a miles wide oil slick extends the reach of the losses - this is still expanding because of winds and tides.
how long will the area be impacted? - years? decades?
Worst part of this mess? Plains All American Pipeline will likely understate the damage to the environment and local economy. The wildlife and local economy will get crushed under the weight of the environmental disaster and the politicians and judges will let this company off with a small slap on the wrist in the form of a fine. California might even have these guys pay for part of the cleanup. Then taxpayers will get stuck with the decades long effects of the spill. 

Plains All American Pipeline a Texas based company, has a documented 175 safety and maintenance violations since 2006, stores and transports crude oil. They own 18,000 miles of pipeline and report $43 billion ($43,000,000,000) in revenue and $878 million in profits ($878,000,000) in 2014. They have been cited for mechanical failures, equipment malfunctions and operator errors. Everyone who is looking knows these guys are a oil spill waiting to happen. To these guys, even a $100 million ($100,000,000) fine is nothing.

These days big oil can do whatever they want, make huge mistakes that destroy communities and they already know they can usually walk away with only small penalties. They have zero incentive to act differently because they don't have any real damaging consequences for their irresponsible actions.

Case in point: BP says it's findings show "no conclusive relation" to the Deep Water Horizon's explosion and spill to the sudden spike in dolphin deaths in the gulf of mexico.  Really? It is absolutely amazing that their findings are unable to link the leak of  4.9 million barrels (210 million US gal) of crude oil to the deaths of dolphins in the gulf. (never mind the millions of lost animals and billions in lost tourism) Experts say the well in the gulf is still leaking today.

I don't know the solution to this equation:  (big oil + lack of regulation and oversight = irresponsible behavior) by these large companies. But I can certainly recognize the link and the results.
